Top 5

Check out these five views when you're in Morgantown. You'll never forget them!

5. North High Street

High Street is known for its lively atmosphere and combination of restaurants, night life and local boutiques and businesses. As you head north, up the hill, you get a beautiful view of the city center, the downtown campus and the valley carved out by the Monongahela River.

4. Blaney House

Blaney House, the home of the president of WVU, is also home to one of the most picturesque views in all of Morgantown. Atop the hill, you get a chance to see a bird's eye view of downtown Morgantown, from High Street to the Monongahela River to Woodburn Circle.

3. Monongalia County Ballpark

New to town, the view from the seats in the new ballpark are breathtaking. If you look out past left-centerfield, you can see the WVU Coliseum - home to our basketball teams - and the rest of the Evansdale campus. It's best seen early in the morning, as the sun rises above Morgantown.

2. Coopers Rock

A short drive from the WVU campus sits one of the best views in all of West Virginia. Cooper's Rock State Forest provides visitors with a few different spots to take a great photo of the rolling hills we're famous for in this state, but the outlook at Coopers Rock is the one you'll remember forever - especially at sunset.

1. Woodburn Circle

If you visit campus, you'll want to stop by Woodburn Circle, our most photogenic piece of campus. Here, you'll find three of the oldest buildings on campus ... Even after all the years, they'll stun you with their majestic beauty. Students take selfies in front of the buildings and love to take their graduation photos there, too.
